Our Embroidery Service
At Stafford Industrial Supplies we excel in providing our customers with embroidered workwear to the highest quality. Having provided embroidery for 30 years we have built on our expertise and fine-tuned our embroidery service. We offer a promised turnaround of just 10 working days. Because of our stellar service, high quality results, and wide range of clothing & uniform, we have gained many happy customers. These can vary from county councils, housing associations, schools, UK-based manufactures and even the odd hen or stag do.
A bit of History
We invested in our own embroidery machine in 2015 to bring our embroidery services in-house. This drastically reduced the time it took to complete orders. To further streamline the embroidery process, a few years later we purchased our own embroidery digitising software. This means we can cater for the entire embroidery process with no middlemen, setting up our customers logos to embroidering your clothing, all done in-house. This has helped to increase quality whilst reducing turnaround times.
So, how do we do it?
Embroidery; The process of sewing thread into a material or fabric to create an image or design. We do this using our state-of the art embroidery facilities. But before we embroider, there are a few steps to go through..
First we need your logo or image
To start the ball rolling, we need to know what you would like us to embroider for you. Simply send us over a high-resolution image file. (Preferably, an .EPS .Ai or .Pdf.) If the image is blocky or pixelated it may affect the finished result - The better quality of your logo file, the better outcome of your embroidery. Not to mention the speed at which we can set up your logo.
We set it up
The image is imported into our embroidery editing software which allows us to map out what the embroidery machine will need to replicate your logo. We use various tools and settings within this software to make sure that your logo embroiders perfectly and looks fantastic on your clothing.
Preparing your embroidery
We match your colours from our vast spectrum of embroidery thread, determine logo sizing, establish embroidery location, and decide what stabiliser/backing is required. Stafford Industrial Supplies will optimise all aspects of your embroidered logo before taking it to the embroidery machine. This ensures the perfect finish every time.
Getting your approval
We add your logo and all embroidery details to our embroidery database for future reference. This record is sent directly to you via email as a digital proof. Your approval is required so we know you are happy with how your embroidery looks before going ahead. If requested, we can also send you a physical proof of your embroidery before proceeding with your order.
Your Order
Your clothing order is carefully picked and made ready for embroidery. The set-up version of your logo is uploaded on to the embroidery machine. We take the garment, determine the area that requires embroidery and clamp the area within an embroidery frame. (This keeps your garments secure and stable throughout the embroidery process.) Backing is used on the inside of the garment to further secure and stabilise the embroidery.
We box it up and ship it out
Once your order is embroidered, we take extra care to fold your garments. We will also pack them regarding their size and style for your convenience. They are then boxed up and made ready for delivery. We promise a 10-working day turnaround time from confirmation of order, and deliver free of charge in the Staffordshire area. We ship nationwide overnight.
Things to consider before placing an order:
Your logo and garment colour scheme
Make sure that your logo stands out from the colour of the clothing. If your logo is black, or dark coloured and you would like to have it embroidered on to black or dark garments it may not be visible. Try to determine a clothing colour that would compliment your embroidered logo. If you are set on a certain colour of clothing, perhaps consider an alternative colour scheme that will emphasise both your logo and garment.
Embroidery Sizing
Sometimes bigger is better, and other times less is more. Consider what sort of size would best suit your embroidered logo. We will always advise on what works, and confirm the sizing with you before going ahead. Do you have any sizing requirements?
Embroidery Location
Where would you like your embroidery to be placed upon your garments? We can embroider caps, bags, trousers, and of course chest areas, larger back embroideries, also sleeves.
